Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Kash. Michelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today? I would often go on spiritual and meditation retreats. I would bring a set of intentions or questions that I was seeking answers to. One of my questions was “what will I be doing with my life?” I felt kind of lost and without direction. Music was the furthest thing from my mind.

When Michelle Kash ponders the nature of her music, the New York-born and Los Angeles-based songstress does so by likening it to “a dimly lit room” and “torn lace.”

Singer-songwriter Michelle Kash is kicking off the new year with her sultry, moody cover of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus.” Following the release of two new singles, “Smoking Gun” and “Hurt Me” last year, Michelle’s cover of “Personal Jesus” finds her at her most confident and serves as the perfect start to 2020.

The LA-based singer/songwriter’s seductive, fiery take on alternative pop is equally evocative and empowering in its confidence and charisma. In between echoes of swelling synths, her voice tows the line between a coy croon and a commanding chant on “Personal Jesus,” painting her as a 21st century temptress.
